Features of Karinya and Woongara Cottages:

Access for everyone - no ramps, no stairs, no sills, completely level

  • Modern cottages with attractive and comfortable furnishings, each on acreage with a private fully-fenced garden
  • Suntrap north-facing courtyard & pergola with patio setting and electric bbq
  • Remote control split system air conditioning/heating & ceiling fans
  • Washing machine and clothesline (in each cottage)
  • Fully equipped all-electric kitchen with 2 door fridge/freezer, oven, griller and microwave. Contains cutlery, crockery, pots & pans, sharp knives, toaster, coffee plunger and electric jug
  • Lovely fresh bed linen, towels, pillows, blankets and doonas supplied.
  • Temperature controlled hot water
  • Undercover entry from 4.5m wide carport
  • Remote control TV & DVD player, with 5 channel reception, antenna points in lounge and master bedroom. Radio/cd player as well.
  • Selection of interesting books and magazines, many relating to dogs -- and a complete tourist information kit
  • Lounge and main bedroom have sliding door access to the courtyard & garden

Woongara – the 2 bedroom cottage - sleeps 4 people and contains: (Woongara photos here)

  • 2 single beds (can be pushed together/apart)
  • 1 full-width fold-up single bed (by prior arrangement)

Karinya – an open-plan cottage - sleeps 1 - 2 people and contains: (Karinya photos here)

We also feature lots of wildlife ....

Kangaroos & wallabies abound.
We can direct you to guaranteed viewing spots.

Crimson rosellas are one variety of the many parrots around the cottages. Both cottages have bird books supplied, but byo binoculars.

Echidnas are often seen strolling past the cottages, especially in Spring and early summer..

This mother and baby live on Raymond Island with 500 others. You can take the ferry (on foot or by car) with your dog/s and walk the gravel roads enjoying the wildlife.


Black swans are numerous throughout the lake system. In the spring and summer we see the pairs with their cygnets.

Flocks of the elusive yellow-tailed black cockatoos pay frequent visits to the trees in the paddocks bordering the cottages.
